In this article, I want to focus on the new resources that we will need to farm in Season 4 of Diablo 4. Generally, right now, we have a lot of additional resources, and some of them are kind of hard to find. The most scarce resource is probably Diablo 4 gold, so I’m going to explain the best way to farm gold itself. Best Way to Farm Gold
The best way to farm gold right now is by farming Whispers of the Dead. Whispers can provide you with rewards that, together with some resources, drop you gold. You can get a significant amount of gold from one reward. As you can see on the screen, I’m getting about 6 million gold just from one reward, which is completely amazing. You can get from 3 to 6 million gold. The main question is how to complete these Whispers as fast as possible.
Whisper Runs:
Helltides: The best way to complete Whispers in my opinion is by doing them during Helltides. First off, you will receive Helltide resources that you will need to farm anyway, and second, the whole Whisper objectives are pretty simple and basic goals, such as opening Tortured Gifts or destroying Demonic Structures. You just need to run around and kill some demons. Sometimes you get a special Whisper that requires you to kill a Blood Harbinger, a formidable enemy hidden in the Helltide. You will see her icon when you join the Helltide.
Harvests and Dungeons: After finishing the Helltide part, I recommend focusing on Harvests for three Grim Favors and Dungeons for five Grim Favors. Dungeons may take a little more time, but they provide more Grim Favors and are usually worth it. If you’ve already done all of them and still have time, you can just go and do PvP.
PvP: In PvP, focus on getting Phylar Abominations. If the monster is there, join, kill it fast, and get five Grim Favors. Additionally, you can purify seeds quickly, which takes only a minute to purify 20 seeds. Most of the time, there aren’t many people doing PvP in the area. If PvP isn’t your thing, stick to dungeons, Harvests, and Helltides, which will be perfectly enough.
Whispers reset with the Helltide itself. When a Helltide ends and a new one starts, Whispers reset. Sometimes, the Helltide will spawn in a special location, giving you 1 to 6 Whispers instead of the basic four, allowing you to get even more Whispers in a row.
Additional Tips for Gold:
Spending Obols: If you need gold and don’t care much about items, go for armor or one-handed weapons such as Focus for Sorcerers. Buy them quickly with your Obols and sell them immediately. Most of the time, you won’t get good items, but you can net a few million gold if you get something decent.
Other Important Resources
- Scattered Prisms:
Source: Scattered Prisms mostly drop from World Bosses. You have a chance to get them randomly, but it’s more reliable to get them from World Bosses. Make sure not to miss World Bosses to get your prisms ready, as you will need them to improve the sockets on your items.
- Oreborn, Inherited, and Numious Materials:
Source: These materials are essential for upgrading your gear.
From Tier 1 to Tier 30, you receive Oreborn.
From Tier 31 to Tier 60, you receive Inherited.
From Tier 60 onwards, you receive Numious.Alchemist Tip: You can craft materials from higher tiers to lower tiers at The Alchemist. For example, if you need a lot of Oreborn, you can craft it from Inherited at a reasonable rate. You will need to pay gold in the process, so farming higher tiers and breaking them down can be more efficient.
- Angelbreath:
Source: Angelbreath is needed for rerolling your items. The best way to farm Angelbreath is through events during Helltides, where you can receive up to 10 Angelbreaths just by finishing a normal event.
- Rune Shards:
Source: Rune Shards can be farmed from Nightmare Dungeons. Completing Tier 1-100 Nightmare Dungeons can get you close to 15 Rune Shards. Alternatively, Gifts of the Mysterious also provides Rune Shards alongside other valuable items like Angelbreath and Forlon Souls.
- Resplendent Sparks:
Source: You get Resplendent Sparks from disassembling Uber Uniques. You can also get them by killing all the Tormented Bosses and finishing the Season questline, which rewards you with one spark each. Uber Lilith is another source.
- Fragmented Stones:
Source: Fragmented Stones are tricky to farm consistently as they drop randomly. However, bosses like Griger and Varshan and the monsters around them drop a significant amount. Blood Harbingers also drop them, making them a decent option.
High Item Power Farming
Source: To farm high item power items, I recommend focusing on Blood Harbinger kills. Blood Harbingers can drop multiple orange items with high item power, making them a valuable target.
Tips to Save Resources and Gold
• Tempering First: Always temper items before rolling them or adding aspects. If the item breaks during tempering, you won’t lose all your rolls or resources.
• Masterwork Selectively: Only masterwork items that are good and you plan to use. Avoid masterworking bad items, especially if they are going to higher masterwork tiers.
• Sell Items: Selling most items instead of disassembling them is better since gold is more scarce than the resources you get from disassembling.
